These unique scrunchies are crafted using deadstock from local designers or discarded/clearance fabrics, end of rolls. This scrunchie is the most sustainable and unique hair accessory you will ever own! This is an oversized scrunchie (even in the mini size) as it uses a wider amount of fabric compared to other mass-market scrunchies. Because of this it will show a lot of volume and will stand out on your hair.
Size
The Mega is our most popular size and absolute bestseller. It’s not exaggerated like the Giga but it’s not small either, so it will pop. We believe the Mega is slightly more dressier than the Mini, but it will also depend how you style it. If you are unsure you can always try mini and take it from there. We have a size for everyone!
How to Style It
This scrunchie is made with a generous amount of fabric and a thin elastic. The fit will depend a lot on what kind of hair you have, yet it suits all types. We always recommend not more than two loops for all the three sizes (mini, mega, giga). The design is made for a soft look with a loose pony or bun or braid, but you can get a tight look by using your elastic band first and then pop the scrunchie over it. For some styles (hand-dyed) you can gently style it by dragging the edge out so it sits in a way where the dye you want to see is showing.

Material
Talking about wearable art…this scrunchie is hand-dyed by us! They are very delicate but also very precious! Please keep it away from water, if possible. These scrunchies are made with silk organza (natural fiber) therefore it will scrunch/ wrinkle. The scrunched effect is beautiful but if you prefer the smooth/ironed look you can always use a bit of steam (from a hot iron or steamer) to bring it back to the original shape. This business was born to protect our environment by trying to avoid waste to end up in landfill. Nature is not only what we want to defend and preserve as part of our mission: it is also what inspires us every day, every piece and every collection. This dye was inspired by the calming beauty of water and specifically the ocean. The ocean gives a very different experience than the sea, the power of waves, the colder temperatures, the vastness. We are lucky to be able to experience it in Australia.
This item is hand-made and hand-dyed in Melbourne, Naarm. Supporting small businesses, locally sourced labour and materials is the way to go!
